Youth of Chinatown
"The Youth of Chinatown" is a film following the youth participants at the Chinatown Community Development Center in San Francisco. Through the San Francisco Public Utility Commission the youth learn about relevant environmental issues such energy conservation and the drought in California. This summer they attended workshops and field trips and gave their knowledge back to the Chinatown community in hopes to encourage more people to be conscious about water, energy, and waste. The EcoCenter at Heron’s Head Park
The EcoCenter at Heron’s Head Park is a short documentary about the internship program at the EcoCenter, an off-the-grid building focused on environmental awareness and education. The internship, offered to high school and college students, gives youth from San Francisco the opportunity to gain hands-on experience regarding sustainability; specifically in terms of waste, water, and power.

On Friday I had the privilege of accompanying our G:URL Gamers and their amazing instructors Regis and Amy to their final presentation at Zynga. The students have been working for the past two weeks to create their own games, which they shared with a group of female engineers, designers, project managers and programmers.
