Diana Chan
Diana Chan is the Director of Finance & Operations at BAVC Media, responsible for the organization's financial and operational strategies by conducting financial analysis and providing actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and financial health. Prior to joining BAVC Media in January 2026, Diana began her career in Accounting before pivoting to Finance with footprint in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. When not at work, Diana enjoys watching movies, animes, and tv shows with her cat BaoBao, winning at Magic the Gathering, and catching Pokemons while vacationing. She is also a coke addict.
Zander Constien
Zander Constien is the Membership and Programs Assistant at BAVC Media, responsible for maintaining member relations and supporting program administration. He works closely with the Marketing Department to aid BAVC Media's organizational outreach and community engagement efforts. Zander graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BFA in Cinema Studies and a BA in Spanish Language. He moved to San Francisco in 2024 and now works at the Roxie Theater and BAVC Media, assisting independent filmmakers at these two iconic Bay Area non-profits. Victoria Fajardo
Victoria Fajardo is the Preservation Technician & Audio Specialist at BAVC Media, Victoria is responsible for the technical aspects of preserving, and digitizing a/v media collections. As BAVC Media's Audio specialist, Victoria works on all audio-related components from transferring ¼ inch reel to reel tape to being our in-studio recording engineer. Mateo Sof Allier Lechuga
Mateo Sof is an Animation Instructor and Program Specialist for the NextGen Program. They create curriculum for this program, as well as lead students through various different animation techniques and software. Mateo Sof Allier Lechuga is a mexican multimedia artist with a focus on animation. They graduated from California College of the Arts, where they specialized in Experimental Animation. After teaching art classes in various schools, and being a 3D animation guest instructor at CCA, they are joining BAVC Media. Michael Banerjee
Michael Banerjee is a Community Engagement Specialist at BAVC Media, handling BAVC Media's engagement with San Francisco via social media, newsletters, and in person outreach at schools. Michael's first introduction to BAVC Media was in 2023 as a Bridges fellow after graduating from UCLA with an English BA and a film minor. He has done lots of small jobs for BAVC Media, and is happy to officially join the club. He has completed BAVC's PG&E Editing Fellowship and Bridges Fellowship. Michael likes to spend his time playing video games, writing scripts, and watching movies.
Leena Joshi
Leena is the Director of Youth & Emerging Media Makers (YEMM) at BAVC Media, supporting both our SF youth programs and Reel Stories in the East Bay. Through curriculum development, instructor support, and program evaluation, partnership, and capacity building, Leena supports the learning of young media makers and growth of BAVC Media’s youth programs on both sides of the Bay. Leena joined BAVC Media in March of 2024 with experience leading Digital + New Media arts and writing initiatives within SFUSD, as well as at Oakland-based studio for disabled artists, Creative Growth Art Center. Christopher Castro
Christopher (Chris) Castro is the Preservation Lab Manager at BAVC Media. He preserves cultural memory by traversing the world of VTRs and deteriorating videotapes in order to create the highest quality transfers. Chris is originally from the East Bay. Prior to joining BAVC Media in December 2023, he oversaw the digitization, access, and preservation of audiovisual media at a community archive. He also worked in Collection Services at the UCLA Film & Television Archive while he earned his MLIS, specializing in Media Archival Studies. Allison Bumatay
Allison Bumatay is the Senior Manager of Training and Workforce Development at BAVC Media. Allison is responsible for organizing and facilitating all adult advanced training experiences, including classes, advising media students and workforce development participants, interfacing with community partners, and assisting with reporting and marketing. Allison joined BAVC Media in December 2023. She is excited about bridging her personal and professional interests in her role at BAVC after previously working at various Bay Area nonprofits supporting low-income and first-generation students. Clay Go
Clay Go is a Media Specialist for Community Media at BAVC Media, responsible for overseeing the use and maintenance of production equipment, as well as providing general support to BAVC and SF Commons for basic production and post-production needs. Clay is a Bridges Live! alumni who joined BAVC Media in October 2023 a few months after completing the program. He graduated from California College of the Arts with a BFA in Filmmaking. Outside of work, Clay enjoys horror movies, going to the gym, and playing video games.
Angie Morales
Angie Morales is a Youth Media Instructor at BAVC Media. Her focus is youth and young adult professional development. She is an instructor for Bridges Live!, Next Gen: Factory and Climate Warriors. Angie joined BAVC June of 2023. She is a full time media maker, and documentary film editor based in Oakland. She has experience in live events, music videos, narrative and documentary film productions. Angie is a UCSC Film & Digital Media graduate. Her work has been featured in a variety of festivals and magazines. She feels most inspired to document stories within queer, black, and brown immigrant communities. [...]
