BAVC Media announces Susie Cagle as Summer 2015 Artist-In-Residence

San Francisco, CA -- Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC Media) is pleased to announce that Susie Cagle will be the Summer 2015 Resident for BAVC Media’s inaugural Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program, made possible in part through the generosity of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.   The AIR program will give Cagle access to BAVC Media’s state-of-the-art technical facilities and in-house expertise, along with the opportunity to produce work in collaboration with BAVC Media programs. National Endowment for the Arts awards BAVC Media $100,000

San Francisco, CA -- Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC Media) received $100,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to continue providing high-quality preservation services to artists and small- to mid-sized arts and cultural heritage organizations through the Preservation Access Program. Since the program began in 2013, BAVC Media has received over 150 inquiries, and has preserved more than 500 hours of media from 27 different collections, making artistic and creative content available for screenings, broadcast, installation, online delivery or exhibitions that reach thousands of viewers each year. BAVC Media welcomes 2015 ACLS public fellow Nilofar Gardezi

US Department of Commerce, Aspen Institute announce BAVC Media’S participation in the national “Communities That Work” partnership

San Francisco, CA – Seven regional teams across the United States have been selected to participate in the Communities that Work Partnership (CTW Partnership), a new joint project of the Workforce Strategies Initiative (AspenWSI) of the Aspen Institute and the Economic Development Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
