Point of Pride: The People's View of Bayview/Hunter's Point is a community-sourced documentary film about the Bayview-Hunter's Point neighborhood made with in partnership with the San Francisco Public Library and the San Francisco Bay Area Television Archive at San Francisco State University.
BAVC believes that in the process of articulating and crafting one’s own story, individuals develop vital critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills that serve as a foundation for personal transformation and healing. We also believe that telling stories can inspire maker and audience alike to take positive action within their own families and the community at-large.
Storytelling Across Media was a quarterly speaker series that brought together independent media artists from a variety of backgrounds to talk about how they tell stories. Panelists offered candid commentary on everything from ethics to budgets, while highlighting different approaches, techniques, and platforms.
