  • Wednesday, May 20
  • 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • SOMArts, San Francisco

Program

We’ll be joined by host Isa Nakazawa, an Oakland-based writer, astrologer, and host of Stars and Stars with Isa, a weekly podcast from Futuro Studios and SiriusXM, in which she sits down with the most talented artists and thinkers of our time to see what their birth charts reveal about their purpose and innermost desires. As BAVC’s recent Director of Community Engagement, Isa hosted insightful conversations and events with Bay Area changemakers.

On stage, Isa will be joined by beloved members of our community, from youth program participants to Manijeh Fata, the Executive Director of San Francisco Film Commission. We’ll hear from acclaimed editors and BAVC instructors, Jessica Jones and Kristina Motwani, as well as Lex Sloan, Executive Director at the Roxie, previous MediaMaker Fellows, SF COMMONS Producer Greg Richardson, and many others.

All this, plus a special exhibition curated by artist Miguel Novelo and incredible food and drinks from La Cocina, will surely make it an evening to remember.
