Carolyn Crampton
Carolyn Crampton is a creative, and owns a design firm specializing in identities and graphics for small businesses. Carolyn teaches typography, color theory, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and basic design. Carolyn is the former art director and senior designer at Macromedia (now Adobe), and has created designs for many local companies including the S.F. Bay Guardian, Kazan Typeset Services, Bechtel, Franklin Templeton, Continuing Education of the Bar, J. Stokes, and San Francisco State University. She attended SUNY at New Paltz, NY, and later received her BFA in Fine Art from the University of Colorado. Carolyn simultaneously pursues many art forms in addition to design. She is an exhibiting fine artist, an author/illustrator (Rabbit Language, Dumbunny), and a songwriter/guitarist in the indie rock band, The Insufferables. In 2012, Carolyn completed motion graphics titles and animations for the film The Man Who Ate New Orleans. As an instructor, she strives to create classes that are challenging yet also help students retain their new-found skills.
