Individual
Calling all theater students and enthusiasts! Are you a creative force who loves building stage sets and conjuring visual magic from scrap materials? We’re putting together a small team to design and build theatrical decorations for a one-of-a-kind private party with a theme that’s part poisonous plant jungle, part 1970s-80s glam rock fever dream — think Manic Panic Botanic.
We’re sourcing from local reuse centers like Scrap SF, Urban Ore, and East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse, so an eye for transforming secondhand treasures into stage-worthy spectacle is a must.
Who we’re looking for:
Current undergrad students in local theater, stagecraft, or set design programs (community colleges, UC/CSU, etc.)
Hands-on experience building sets, scenery, or large props
Enthusiastic about low-budget, high-camp creative projects
Able to commute to Piedmont
Available August 25 – September 5
Bonus points if you love Little Shop of Horrors, David Bowie, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Death Becomes Her, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Swamp Thing, Freddie Mercury, Joan Jett,
