HomeSF IndieFest: Faceless
SF IndieFest: Faceless
Event Date:
Sun, 02/17/2013 - 5:00pm
As part of our partnership with SF IndieFest BAVC is proud to co-present Faceless (Tristan Albrecht, Switzerland, 90m, 2012)
World Premiere
Imagine making the difficult decision to leave your loved ones behind in Mexico to find a job in New York. After braving the risky border crossing, you find work in 2001 as an undocumented worker...at Windows on the World, shortly to be obliterated on September 11. Director Albrecht and his crew retrace this incredibly poignant journey, deftly incorporating interviews (and some harrowing footage) from Mexico, US border communities, and World Trade Center survivors. Faceless takes our collective memories of a quintessentially “American” tragedy and presents them anew through the story of its many undocumented victims who may never be identified.
