The Best of Next Gen DVD is a collection of twenty student films showcasing the
best work from BAVC’s after-school filmmaking programs, including the advanced
video production program The Factory and the job-preparedness Digital Pathways

The Best of Next Gen DVD is a fantastic resource for motivated teenage filmmakers,
parents of youth interested in filmmaking, and educators teaching film production.
It includes narrative shorts, social justice documentaries, music videos, Public
Service Announcements and experimental work. The films in the collection have
screened at more fifty national film festivals and won over twenty awards. The
DVD also comes with an insert that provides additional context about each film’s
production process.

Slip of the Tongue, directed by Karen Lum
