Bay Area Video Coalition, or BAVC (pronounced “bay-vac”), is a nonprofit media arts center that was founded in 1976 by a coalition of media makers and activists who wanted to find alternative, civic-minded applications for a new technology - PortaPak video. You know how some people always wondered if the White Stripes were brother and sister or husband and wife? FREE TRAINING THROUGH ETP!

It's official. The CA Labor and Workforce Development Agency's Employment Training Panel (ETP) just approved another contract for BAVC for the next two years! Not only that, but they relaxed some of the rules, so, guess what? It'll be even easier for companies and employees to take BAVC classes at no cost.

If you've trained at BAVC through ETP in the past, you'll be delighted to learn that two of the major changes are that you can now enroll online without your liaison's signature and that the number of training hours you need to commit to are muy, muy flexible.

Want to find out if you qualify? Please send your name, company name and contract information to BAVC's Head of Workforce Development, Dov Golodner.
