Event description:
This course is only for current SF Commons Members who would like to learn about basic television studio production, utilize the Main Studio, or crew for productions in our Main Studio. The course covers floor operations and roles, basic operation of broadcast studio cameras and monitors, dolly use and setup, audio connections and adjustment, microphone use, and basic studio lighting grid and blue screen use. After this class you will know your way around a television production studio, and will be on your way to adding extra value to your next production. The certification also makes you eligible to crew as paid or volunteer labor for other Main Studio productions at SF Commons.
SF Commons Members will need to pass this Training and Certification in order to rent or utilize the Main Studio at our facility, or to serve as floor operations crew for other studio productions.
NOTE: This is for Training and Certification for the Main Studio Floor Operations only. For Control Room use and/or rental, you will need to register for the SF Commons Control Room Training and Certification. A working knowledge of basic field production, including video terminology, typical video camera controls, composition, tripod use, and basic microphone/lighting for static shots such as interviews (covered in most video production workshops or our Production Certification), is recommended prior to taking this course.
