Register Now

There are several ways to find and register for a class here at BAVC.

  1. Browse the full class catalog > This will show you all the classes in our catalog. You can then click through to see if and when the next class is scheduled. If there are no scheduled classes, you can check in with our senior training advisor and ask for a custom class, or check on future availability.
  2. Browse scheduled classes > (shows only classes currently on our schedule. We try to schedule 4 months in advance).
  3. Browse scheduled classes on our calendar > Again, this will show you only scheduled classes on our calendar. Click on the class name to register.

Class Registration

We now ask all our students to register online. To register online . .

You must create a BAVC website account. To do so, just click on "Register" on the top of the website. Fill out the registration form, and then confirm your email.

Once you find a scheduled section, choose that section and follow the registration form instructions.

We use Paypal for credit card processing, but you do not need a Paypal account to pay.

You will receive a confirmation email for your registration once you have been accepted into the class. This can take up to 24 hours, so please be patient.

ETP Students: Those students who are part of the CA State Employee Training Program (and who have their paperwork on file) should enroll online and choose the ETP "price" for that class.

MY EVENTS

After you register for an event, your class schedule is kept in your user profile. To access your user profile, login to the BAVC site, go to the My Profile menu item in the User Menu (the User Menu is on the lower right side of any page but the home page) and then click the My Events tab. If any changes to class times or dates should occur, you will be notified via email.

Other Helpful Information

We strongly recommend signing up for classes as far in advance as possible. Many classes fill up fast, and a few get canceled if we don't see enough interest.

Note the Recommended Prerequisites
Not sure if a class will be too advanced for you? Unfortunately, we cannot refund class fees if you cannot keep up. Check in with the This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it if you are unsure about the level of a specific class.

Bring a layer.
A working post-production facility, BAVC's suites and labs are kept at a relatively low temperature to protect our electronic equipment. The climate is ideal for machines, but a little on the cool side for humans, so we recommend dressing warmly for class.

Special Needs?

The Neighborhood
Classes are taught at the BAVC facility (2727 Mariposa St., 2nd floor), unless otherwise specified in the class description.

Street parking can be difficult in this neighborhood during the week, so, we recommend public transportation, or, if you drive, be prepared to spend a few extra minutes finding a spot. Weekends and evenings are a breeze.

PLEASE NOTE: Classes are subject to change without notice. For the latest policy on cancellations, refunds, and enrollments, please check out our cancellation page.
