BAVC administers monthly online certification exams. Users that are ready to take their knowledge of the software to the next level can sign up for the certification exam. Upon passing the exam, the participants become certified professional users. The exam questions are created by the software manufacturer and the exam is taken by logging in to the software company's exam site. BAVC provides the location and facilitates the exam, but does not generate the questions or grade the finished exam. Exam results are automatically calculated and are displayed at the completion of the exam.
A Certified Professional is a user who has proven that they can use the software with the highest skill level
as shown by successfully passing the certification exam. Certification allows you to distinguish yourself to colleagues,
employers and prospective clients as a skilled user. Upon
completing certification you will receive benefits such as being listed on the software manufacturer's web site, promoting yourself as a certified professional in résumés and digital media (such as your demo reel), and more.

Apple Pro Certification
- A Certified Apple Pro is a user who has reached the highest skill
level in the use and operation of Apple's Pro Applications as attested
to by Apple. Certified Apple Pro Users are featured on Apple's Certified Pro page. As a certified exam center, BAVC offers Apple Pro Certification
for Final Cut Pro, Logic, Shake, and DVD Studio Pro.
BAVC offers Apple Pro Certification for all Apple digital production applications.

- Avid Certified User - Benefits from becoming an Avid Certified Operator: confidence in your ability to maximize Avid software's performance, use the ACU Operator Logo on your
resume or business card, industry-wide recognition of your proficiency on Avid software, free hosting of your contact information on the ACU Database, official Avid Certified Operator Certificate and discounts on selected Avid products.
The Avid exam is split into two separate versions:
Avid Media Composer or Avid Xpress Pro - You select the exam that best fits your experience and knowledge base.

- Digidesign Certification - Take your Pro Tools® training to the next level, and become a Certified Pro Tools Operator or Certified Pro Tools Expert. The Digidesign® Training and Education program offers a comprehensive curriculum to give you the skills you need to work with Pro Tools in a professional environment. Specialize in music, post production, or both. Becoming a Certified Pro Tools Operator or Certified Pro Tools Expert can be an important step toward landing your next gig and building a professional career in the audio industry.
Once you complete your certification, you'll receive a frame-worthy certificate and you'll be listed in the online Digidesign Certification Directory so peers and potential clients can find you quickly.
