BAVC certificates offer beginning and advanced students the most comprehensive
industry-authorized curricula in video and graphics - curricula recognized
at all levels of the media industry as the highest quality training available.
BAVC offers the following certificates:

Web Core - fundamental skills
of authoring, building and designing websites
Web Design - advanced focus on aesthetics
and design

Digital Audio, Post Production - design and edit audio for movie soundtracks
Digital Audio, Music Production - create audio projects for song writers and musicians
NOTE: Taking a series of classes (as listed above) can help you get the training you need to pass the software manufacturer's user exams. Taking the user exams is optional, but they offer many benefits in addition to learning the skills needed to operate the programs. Certificate training includes:

Paying for classes
- Pay as you go - Sign up and pay for each class in your certificate
as you go along. Take advantage of membership and bundle discounts where
applicable.
- Pay up front - Pay a reduced total fee at the time of enrollment,
save on future price changes. (Membership discounts do not apply.)
- Financial assistance for the
unemployed - The Private Industry Council (PIC) and One Stop
San Francisco can help you receive unemployment insurance benefits while
you attend training.
- Program fee - The $75 program fee is a non-refundable registration
fee.
How to sign up - 2 steps
- Print the certificate
information form, which includes general certification information and
a one-page agreement. (Requires Adobe
Acrobat Reader)
- Contact an enrollment advisor for an appointment, at which time the
advisor will assist you in defining goals and planning your schedule.
What you need to know
- Students have one calendar year to successfully complete the courses
in a certificate. BAVC schedules are not on a semester system; students
may register at any time of the year.
- Please be aware that classes are subject to change without notification.
- Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations received at least 14 calendar days before the start
date of the class shall receive 100% credit / 100% refund.
- Cancellations received at least 7 calendar days before the start
date of the class shall receive 100% credit / 50% refund.
- Cancellations received fewer than 7 days before the class shall
not be credited or refunded.
- Retaking Courses: certificate students must complete their courses
with satisfactory marks in order to earn their certificates. At the
end of each course, the instructor will complete a Progress
Report for each certificate student. If an instructor determines
that a student should retake a particular course, that student must
re-enroll in that course and satisfactorily complete it in order to
earn the certificate. All tuition and fees apply for such re-enrollments.
- BAVC cannot "hold" or "reserve" seats in a class. Only upon payment
can BAVC confirm registration in a class.
- Equipment and textbook costs are included in fees.
- Students must sign attendance rosters to be counted as in attendance.
