BUMP Records Album Release Party - June 18

Ah, summer in the Bay Area!

In addition to the crisp sub-Arctic winds that rip through our streets in the evenings, the billowing fog and the odd spontaneous downpour, we know that summertime is upon us with the coming of another regularly occurring phenomenon - the annual BUMP Records Album Release Party!

Saturday, June 18 at the Eastside Arts Alliance, BUMP artists Maua Nzingha, Shad, Osø and Breeyana Lovelace (accompanied by producer L-Niño) will be performing material from their BRAND NEW ALBUMS live.  (details below)

Yes indeed, after months of top-secret experimentation, grueling training regimens, and tireless labor, these five young artists have emerged from the deepest recesses of the BUMP studios with the goods in hand. Security around these masterworks has been airtight. Few human ears have yet had the privilege of experiencing even small snippets of the tracks in question.  I myself, the Manager of BUMP Records, only recently gained the necessary clearance to preview the finished work. And let me tell you:  it’s for real.

We’re talking forward-thinking, 2-steps-ahead-of-the-curve, pulling together the very best elements of the Bay Area’s sonic palette, as well as pioneering entirely new musical territory. “Thought-provoking”, “personal”, “slappin’”…we could dance about architecture all day long and it wouldn’t do justice to the diversity and quality of the sounds flowing from the BUMP roster right now. The truth is, this is the stuff you’ve been waiting to hear, but the radio hasn’t been playing for you. Now you could continue waiting along with the rest of the world for the music industry to catch up, OR you could come out and get it straight from the source.
