Preserving Abbie Hoffman

We’ve been working all week on the preservation of some video reels Larry Rivers shot of Abbie Hoffman debating, then getting, a vasectomy.

It’s a bit silly and endearing, how much these two men struggled with this idea and how they felt it was such a radical notion for MEN to be proactive about birth control. So much so that they made a video of the entire procedure and presented it at a Kiwanis men’s club meeting. Here’s a few of Abbie’s many emotions expressed in these conversations.
